This 2003 British comedy/romance is easily the best of it's type that I've seen in several years. A big-name ensemble tells 10 separate but intertwined stories, set in London two weeks before Christmas. As the movie counts down the days to Christmas, things build to a climax.

There's nudity, but better yet, there's some great stories performed beautifully by the exceptional British and American cast, and it never gets boring. The comedy is subtle rather than slapstick, and the romance well handled and sweet without getting sickening, and as a bonus has a really good sound track, so most people should really enjoy this movie. Excellent! Now available on Bluray!

A private investigator, Antonio Banderas, is hired to find a stripper that has come up missing. Although set in the modern era it has some great futuristic special effects that makes the sexy scenes that much better. The big name in the flick is Autumn Reeser,of "The O.C." and "No Ordinary Family", who plays a waitress that offers to help Banderas. After serving him coffee he asked her when she gets off and she responds, "About 14 minutes after I start fucking". That alone is reason enough to watch this movie. And by the way...Autumn's natural body is glorious! Available on Blu-Ray!

A year before Woldgang Petersen's overcooked Troy debuted on the big screen, USA Network presented their own version of the Trojan legend with much better results. Obviously, the miniseries didn't have the movie's huge budget, but it had a better script that much more closely followed the myth, which made for a more interesting flick. The battle scenes were impressive for television and the acting, with some exceptions, was decent. Rufus Sewell is always a good bad guy and Emilia Fox did a nice job as Cassandra. Unfortunately, Sienna Guillory came off like a petulent child. And also, she's hot by 20th Century standards, but she's no mythic beauty, let alone a face to launch a thousand ships. On that, Troy's filmmakers did better by casting German actress Diane Kruger.

In this 2005 direct-to-video thriller, two sisters live a reclusive life in an old mansion. The sisters have an uncommon bond. They feel one another's pain, both mentally and physically. They also share a common plan, to get one of them pregnant.

The plan is simple. Ensnare a young man, get pregnant, chase the young man away before the baby arrives, and most important, do NOT fall in love.

Unfortunately, what the sisters didn't plan for is the jealousy they feel towards each other as they both pursue the man, a traveler who has taken refuge at the mansion, and agrees to stay on as the handyman.

This is a very creepy and twisty thriller that will keep you interested from start to finish. Alicia Silverstone and Sienna Guillory do a great job as the sisters. Joe Anderson's performance as the man is less convincing, but adequate.
