Conviction was a midseason replacement from the mind of Dick Wolf, creator of Law & Order. As a result, you'll see a lot of familiar L&O faces, whether in the form of main characters like Milena Govich, Stephanie March and Julianne Nicholson, or in guest stars like Alexandra Daddario. Sadly, the show never made it past the first season.
True Love: If you're dating a lawyer, or worse, a District Attorney, do you think it's a good idea to cheat on him? Can't he make your life a living legal hell? Apparently knowing this doesn't phase Jill Flint. Meanwhile, Milena Govich is still screwing her boss, who is no longer screwing his boss Stephanie March.
You need a legal pad and pencil just to keep track of it all. |

Denial: Unlike the stuffed shirts over at Law & Order, there's some serious heat being generated in this District Attorny's office. Whether it's sexy Milena Govich banging her boss (which he shouldn't be doing but he used to bang his boss Stephanie March, so there!), or the girl-next-door Julianne Nicholson giving a co-worker an eyeful, these D.A.s could teach Jack McCoy a thing or two! |

This series, based on a novel, lasted a whole three weeks before CBS yanked it off the air. It starred Tom Cavanaugh ('Ed') as a record exec who gets fired from his cushy big label A&R job after making a speech about his passion for "real music." He lands at a small, start up label where he can work on the music he really loves. Meanwhile, he's always seeking "The One" and spends a lot of time hanging out with his buddies. The show wasn't bad, but it wasn't a stand out either. Cavanaugh, on whom this show rested, mugges it up for the camera a bit much for my taste. That worked on 'Ed', which was a naturally quirky show, but not as well here. The show might gotten better given the chance, but that rarely happens on TV anymore. |
