A love story between a married communist woman, who's husband is in prison, and a German man living in Spain. When Leonor Watling's husband is in prison she takes work with Pablo Ernesto Alterio, and has an affair with him while working at his home. If there was ever a best reason to learn Spanish it might be so you can enjoy more videos of Leonor Watling. What a sexy and talented lady; she stuns with her knockout body and her innocent demure. You will cross for your fingers for half an hour hoping she gets nude and wont be disappointed when she does.

This 2001 Spanish film is a glorified soap opera, but a darned good one, and with a lot more sex (and nudity) than you'll find on the tube. It's an interesting flick, but this review is filled with spoilers, so if you want to see the complete movie, stop reading now.

A young woman falls in love with a new literature teacher who has just come to town. Meantime, she is the object of affection of a very rich local businessman. She spurns the businessman and marries the teacher, and they have a child.

The teacher buys a fishing boat and fishes on his off hours. He also fishes for beautiful women while also enjoying his marriage. Then, he is lost at sea, and declared dead when his wrecked boat washes ashore.

The widow marries the rich man (of course) and enjoys a life of luxury until (gasp.....big surprise) the teacher turns up to rekindle his love for her. Since she's always loved him, she hides him from her new husband and the romance continues where it left off. Naturally, the new husband finds out, and all hell breaks loose, leading to a slightly surprising ending. While I won't tell you the ending, I'm afraid it's pretty obvious if you view the clips.

This film from Spain won the 2002 Gold Globe for Best Foreign Language Film. Understandable, because it's a great drama, although a little slow in parts. In Spanish, with English sub-titles.

A week after meeting and falling in love with a young woman, a male nurse becomes her caretaker after she's left in a coma following a car accident.

Four years later, he befriends another man who is trying to cope with the goring of his bullfighter girlfriend, which has also left her in a coma. Very well done, with an interesting and unexpected ending.

The black and white collage is of a silent movie shown in the film. Most of the nudity (except the full-length shot) is simulated, but it's one of the stranger sequences I've ever seen, so I had to clip it.
