Creepily erotic art film/character study set on the Canary Islands follows the intriguing (and often inappropriate) relationship between a mother and son after his father passes away. Isabelle Huppert is smoldering as the mother leading her teenage boy into a den of hedonism populated by the likes of young and unbelievably sexy Emma de Caunes and Joana Preiss. Definitely not recommended for everyone, the movie is equal parts disturbing, erotic and challenging.

Paul, depresed from his recent break-up with Anna, returns home to Pais to live with his divorced father and womanzing, slacking younger brother Jonathan. With little success, his carefree sibling and doting father try to cheer him up with women, wine, and home-cooked meals. When, in the midnight hour, Paul is forced to entertain one of his brother's desperate girlfriends, he begins to realize that while things never go according to plan, family and the pursuit of love are always worth the fight.
