While it could just be a coincidence, the appearances of Stripper Zombies and Zombies Zombies Zombies on the scene may give us a really exciting new sub-genre where there's plenty of feasting and a lot more attractive FLESH! Story-wise, you're looking at what one would expect out of a zombie movie largely set in a strip club: A crack using buddy of the local, good-natured mad scientist rips off one of the scientists latest experiments - a kind of green crystal that delivers a serious high - only to lose it to a hooker he regularly hires for quick go-rounds. She, in turn, uses the stuff up fast and promptly turns into a vomiting undead freak while at the beginning of what might have been a West Side Story street fight where The Jets were hookers and the Sharks, strippers.
So yeah... this should be a lot of fun - and for the most part it is. While most low budget, shot-on-video fare doesn't strive for much beyond a quick flash of unimpressive boobs and some remedially executed gore sequences lit by a few lights scored at Home Depot, Zombies Zombies Zombies one-ups its grassroots brethren in almost every area. The boobs here are impressive. The gore is rather well executed. The lighting and shooting are wholly standout for the budget range. All that said, it's still a no/low-budget flick and it doesn't manage to avoid every pitfall as the acting is often amateurish and the direction of all non-gore and T&A sequences is pedestrian.
Standout among the cast is cutie-pie Holly Winnard as the new girl at the strip club, Sean Harriman as her loyal boyfriend, and sultry Jessica Barton who plays a jaded college graduate that makes more money going topless than she would in her previously chosen vocation. Both women handle their lines with enough skill to suggest that, if better directed, they could handle considerably more emotional range while Harriman is standout in a natural, everyman, nice-guy kind of way. Of course, while maybe not as refined as actresses (or perhaps not given much to do beyond shake it and argue), the rest of club's workers and "working girls" are rather easy on the eyes, lovely newcomers such as Tracy Nova Morrow and Erika Nicole handle the smaller parts while Lyanna Tumaneng and Juliet Reeves fill out the rest of the leading stripper team. And for their part, Jaime Jessup and Stephanie Miller flash quick skin, but deliver the most satisfying two deaths in the picture as zombified hookers.
