Classic Dykesploitation film That Tender Touch follows that all-too-familiar formula for movies of this genre: girl meets girl, girl falls in love, girl falls out of love, girl goes straight, other girl pines away until the tragic ending. Fortunately for us the lesbians in question (Bee Tompkins and Sue Bernard) and their maid (Dolly Read) show quite a lot of skin for a 60s dykesploitation movie. The horrible green lines apparently come from the lousy print that the DVD was generated from.
Hollywood soap operas get shattered in Russ Meyer's outrageous chronicle of an all-girl rock group's rise to fame and their eventual seduction by sex, drugs and rock and roll. Dolly Reed, Cynthia Myers and Marcia McBroom play the members of the Carrie Nations band. Erica Gavin, Edy Williams and Phyllis Davis also star in this cult classic, written by Meyer and film critic Roger Ebert. A variety of one-times and veteran pin-up types can also be found intercut quickly into the movie's quirky party and fashion shoot scenes, including Russ Meyer vet Haji, Samantha Scott, Angel Ray.
