A tongue in cheek take on "The X Files," this flick follows a horny alien on the run who changes bodies through sexual excitement. Considering she takes the form of Gabriella Hall, Kira Reed, Delphine Pacific and Laura Palmer, you can sign me up for the program! Also stars Kim Yates, Blake Pickett and Sage Kirkpatrick.

Back in the 90's, softcore producer Alain Siritzky acquired the rights to the classic Emmanuelle brand and produced a series for European television starring a then unknown Krista Allen as the titular character, who is used by aliens to help them experience human sexuality. When Krista's career took off in her native America, Siritzky sold the series to American cable and then packaged it as a series of seven videos. Krista was not happy and ended up leaving the soap Days of Our Lives, but went on to a role on Baywatch and did a few movies, so she really shouldn't complain.


This final collection in the series is mostly flashback scenes to earlier episodes and some alternate takes of previous love scenes, but it is definitely worth having in your collection if you're an Emmanuelle fan! Also stars Angela Cornell, Debra Beatty, Delphine Pasific, Jennifer Behr, Kristen Knittle, Priscilla Choi and Tiendra Demian.

It really was a brilliant idea to resuscitate the Emmanuelle series during the heyday of softcore in the mid-90's. Probably the genre's only real, certifiable franchise, softcore king Alain Siritzky obtained the rights to Emmanuelle Arsan's original character (hence the two "m's" in the name) and created a series of 17 late-night cable TV episodes that set the world's favorite sexual dynamo in space.
What's most important, however, is that all of the movies feature the absolutely stunning and positively gorgeous Krista Allen as the title character. A gift from the Gods directly to humankind, Allen strips, writhes and moans her way through the series with true gusto. Even in the rare instance when completely clothed, the actress radiates sexuality. Most would have to admit, she is easily the best actress to have taken on the Emmanuelle role since Sylvia Kristel, and many will agree she is even better.

Once the late-night cable run of Emmanuelle in Space was complete, Siritzky packaged the movies into seven distinct titles. The plots are nearly indistinguishable, (they all seem to be about understanding – and talking A LOT about – eroticism) so you're really left with the cast list to make some kind of distinction between the titles.

In Emmanuelle in Space: World of Desire many, MANY actresses catch clothing allergies and join Allen in all manner of erotic play. Most notable are Debra K. Beatty as an outer space denizen being instructed by Emmanuelle on how to feel sexy, and Angela Cornell as a sexy farmhand. But let's not forget the particularly stellar assets on display by the likes of Holly Hollywood (as Stacey Ann Mobley), Jodi Verdu, Joy Figueroa, Tami Simsek, Dede Shire, Angela Mia, Tiendra Demian, and the outrageously smoking Asian actress Priscilla Choi who is memorable for her double-team sequence with a pair of Buddhists!

Originally titled Balls of Thunder as a more direct play on Thunderball, this James Bond spoof is also the fifth movie in the seven picture "Click!" series based on Milo Manera's comic of the same name. This time around, Agent Rod Steele (perfectly played by Robert Donovan who merges Sean Connery and Roger Moore's Bonds) must stop evil villainess Tangerina (wonderfully campy - and totally hot - De'Ann Power) from capturing the semen of the most powerful men in the world so she cannot create a race of super-clones under her control. Assisting Rod is the positively drop-dead gorgeous 0013, a fellow agent played by Sita Renne Thompson, and the trusty "Click" device that makes people sexually ravenous at the touch of a button.

Between Thompson and Power, this movie could have been considered great, but director Rolfe Kanefsky was Hell-bent on making this better than great by casting almost everyone working in softcore at the time. With a cast so huge, Rod Steel has to be awarded softcore classic status. For instance, in one scene you have Jacqueline Lovell and Gabriella Hall go at it with leather and whips. In another sequence, you get the always-crowd-pleasing Holly Hollywood strip out of a bikini and rub herself into climax. Not be be outdone is Asian beauty Delphine Pacific as a hot-to-trot bartender, or Kira Reed, Sheila Vale and pornstar Tammi Ann as a horny group of agency operators in as scene so hot that parts of it were recycled at the end of Kanefsky's Emmanuelle's Intimate Encounters. But it doesn't stop there! The climax of the picture follows the example of fellow "Click!" movie The Ultimate Audition by filling a room full of hot bodies for a spinning-camera-captured orgy. Counted among the participants? Tracy Ryan, Petra Sexton and the amazing Gina Everett. Hell, even Bo Zena makes an appearance briefly as a casino patron driven to ecstasy by the clicker.

Fans of the "Click!" series will love this picture as it continues the movies' trend of solid acting and decent laughs, but for softcore lovers this thing is positively a treasure trove of total babes.

An Indecent Proposal redux played out by mid-90's softcore stars, Price of Desire is a surprisingly engaging and (unsurprisingly) sexy film that actually one-ups its Hollywood predecessor not only in the skin department, but also in terms of complexity of storyline.

Whereas Indecent Proposal was a "What if?" about a solid, loving couple that has a good deal in common with most couples in the audience, Price of Desire serves up Kira Reed and Dan Frank as Monica and Mac, a pair of kinky near-swingers with an exhibitionist/voyeuristic streak that *should* permit most any kind of proposal. The pair aren't so much hurting for money - he's an formally successful actor turned voice-over artist and she dresses models for a local boutique - as they are driven to risky schemes by Mac's need to "be back on top" again, so really, they don't seem to be risking all that much when they give in to the offer of $250,000 from a casino magnate (Moe Justini) looking for a dalliance with someone like Reed.

And, to be honest, who wouldn't have ponied up serious cash or collateral for a few nights with Reed back when this picture was made? Arguably one of the best actresses ever in to do softcore, her skills also made her one of the sexiest; her love scenes often filled with what can only be described as "erotic gusto." Reed looks like she is an ecstatic trance as her (usually totally nude and all-natural) body quivers and slinks with sultry rhythm that never seems fake or rehearsed. Her chemistry with Dan Frank, Moe Justini and even Janine Lindemuler (who plays a bathroom stall lesbian with a big secret) blows the top off thermometers and even when she's not playing the vamp, Reed manages to hold attention with a natural ease before the camera that's rare even in the upper levels of Hollywood.

Price of Desire also gets some assistance in the sex and skin department from another excellent 90's softcore mainstay, Ms. Kim Yates who plays a ditzy model with relationship problems, as well as hardcore star Stephanie Swift who breaks a sweat in the aforementioned bathroom stall scene with Lindemuler. There are even more quick looks as the likes of Thena Harris, who places a slender European-looking model, and Asian hottie Delphine Pacific as Mac's former lover that's still pining for him, and surprisingly, these diversions seem to be less about filling a skin quota than actually contributing to the complexity of the story.

Price of Desire is a crowning entry in the Mystique Films catalog, and while it's rare to see the U.S. release from Image Entertainment for sale in many places, the Spanish-packages Zima release can usually be found for cheap money and offers a decent print of this gem. Recommended for those who like actual story and substance with their T&A!
