|Chasey Lain In Evil Breed: The Legend of Samhain|
, 25 seconds of video clips.
Evil Breed: The Legend of Samhain is Canadian low-budget action director Christian Veil's long-in-the-coming ode to slasher movies, and it starts off promisingly with a hilarious cameo by Richard Greico of 21 Jump Street fame. As he gets hot and heavy with Chasey Laine and then various gory shenanigans ensue soon after, one is led to believe this is quite a nifty little gem on the straight-to-video horror shelf. Unfortunately, it never again reaches the fun of those first ten minutes during the remainder of its running time.
Sabotaged by a lame story about the Irish legend of Samhain, the day the dead can communicate with the living, the tale is further muddied by another legend, that of a family that lives in the woods and has been inbreeding for centuries. The murderous spawn, (of which there would have to be more than one, but we're never told for sure,) is suitably deformed and maniacal, thus making quick work in the last twenty minutes of a group of American college students visiting the Green Isle for some class.
Starring a quartet of porn queens in mostly small roles, only Ginger Lynn Allen doesn't disrobe, instead earnestly trying on an Irish accent that at once impresses and makes on giggle. You get small doses of what you'd expect from Jenna Jameson, Taylor Hayes and the aforementioned Chasey Lain with Laine's scene being the only sexy one. Bobbie Phillips, as the professor of the group, manages what she can with a weak part and script (her good looks don't hurt), while Gillian Leigh provides some serious eye-candy in a minor role.
